The Thurman’s have been in the property rental business since 1989. Being an ambitious young man, Michael purchased his first property when he was 18 years old. Through studying books and following the advice of experts in their trade, he learned to rehab distressed properties. Currently his rental inventory includes over 130 homes, apartments and offices. Each one was a project of passion for the them as they revived entire neighborhoods that were once dilapidated havens for drugs and crime. The Thurman’s specialize in the Victorian era home. Nearly half of their inventory consists of unique, turn-of-the-century style dwellings that could pass for art as well as a residence. With 10 to 12 foot ceilings, heart-of-pine hardwood floors, antique fireplace mantles, massive pocket doors and clawfoot bathtubs, each unit takes you back in time. The Thurman’s have worked hard to marry the style of the Victorian with the convenience of modern homes so that their tenants get the best of both worlds.

Since their marriage in 2003, Angela and Michael have partnered together to run a successful and conscientious family business. They take pride in their work and in each home, constantly striving to keep their properties relevant and attractive to the current market. In the meantime, they’ve also found time to have a family. Even though turning over a beautifully refurbished unit is satisfying, nothing can beat being the mom and dad to Addison, their oldest daughter and Alex and William, their twin sons.
